چکیده

For companies, the improvement of the recyclability performance of their newly designed products is becoming an integral part of product development process. The concept of environmental conscious design (ECD) has been adopted to assist the environmental performance of the products at the early stage of designing. This new trend requires that the design strategies need to be modi"ed by integrating the environmental constraints. This paper provides the disassembly sequence and cost analysis for the electromechanical products during the design stage. The disassembly planning is divided into four stages: geometric assembly representation, cut-vertex search analysis, disassembly precedence matrix analysis, and disassembly sequences and plan generation. The disassembly cost is categorized into three types: target disassembly, full disassembly, and optimal disassembly. The result of this approach shows that the electromechanical products can be disassembled systematically and economically. ( 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.

Disassembly sequence planning using a Simplified Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization algorithm

Disassembly Sequence Planning (DSP) is a challenging NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem. As a new and promising population-based evolutional algorithm, the Teaching–Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) algorithm has been successfully applied to various research problems. However, TLBO is not capable or effective in DSP optimization problems with discrete solution spaces and complex disass...

Coordination of Collection and Disassembly Planning for End-of-Life Product

This work proposes a formulation for coordinating between collection and disassembly planning for an End-of-Life (EOL) product. The coordination deals with the balance between the number of products collected, the inventory level and the number of products disassembled. The objective function aims to minimize the total cost including the disassembly cost, the penalty cost, the holding cost and ...

An Evolutionary Algorithm for Selective Disassembly of End-of-Life Products

This paper addresses the problem of creating intelligent, green, and financially-beneficial disassembly sequences for end-of-life (EOL) electronic products. These complex EOL products contain a broad spectrum of materials including precious metals. Therefore, one would have to process these products to retrieve the value buried in them. EOL processing options include, reuse, remanufacturing, re...
